The Mission to Minnesota

Ma’ayanot and NCSY will be sending 12 student to participate in a historic mission to help victims of the Red River floods in Minnesote. The Girls will form a disaster relief team that will spend time in Oronoco Park, MN from Wednesday, May 4-Sunday, May 8. The girls will assist in recovery efforts after the annual flooding of the Red River. The girls will also participate in the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® 5K Walk on Sunday, May 8 in Bloomington, MN.  Additionally, the girls will be providing spiritual support for the local Jewish community and spending Shabbat with teens in Minnesota.

Our girls will be tweeting live from the worksites to give their home town communities an idea of what is happening there twitter.com/#!/Maayanot11. Additionally, the girls will be video blogging daily on the community service they did that day which will be available on this page.
