  • Every year, Ma’ayanot students perform a school play, with the guidance of a talented faculty advisor. The school play also provides an opportunity for non-actors to be involved in technical elements of production, such as sound, costume design, lighting, scenery, and stage management. In past years, students have performed plays such as Our Town and Little Women.

  • Ma’ayanot students produce an annual musical, such as The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Music Man. The musical provides an opportunity for students to explore and express their many talents in acting, singing, and the technical and artistic aspects of production.

  • Heartbeats is a musical and artistic program that is run each year by Ma’ayanot students to benefit a charitable organization. Students perform songs and dances to a packed, all-female audience, in addition to creating a visual display of student artwork. Heartbeats was pioneered by three Ma’ayanot graduates of the class of 2009, and represents the multi-faceted creativity of our students, and their dedication to using their talents to contribute to the greater community. In past years, the proceeds of Heartbeats have been donated to Sharsheret and Miklat.

  • Each year, the twelfth-grade students in the Bechina Yerushalmit class create an Israel version of American Idol, in which students perform Hebrew songs and engage in activities and games that teach about Israeli history and culture. Kochav Nolad is performed to the whole school, and is a highlight of the year.
