A wide array of special programs highlights various holidays and events throughout the academic year at Ma’ayanot. Examples include the Chanuka Banquet, Rosh Chodesh breakfasts, the Purim chagiga, 9/11 Commemoration, and celebrations of Yom Hashoah, Yom Ha’atzmaut, and Yom Yerushalayim. In addition, school and grade Shabbatons, as well as our annual Color War, create special bonding opportunities for Ma’ayanot students.
Prominent speakers are often invited to address Ma’ayanot students, sometimes in conjunction with special events. Local, national and Israeli speakers have discussed Torah, current events, and personal growth experiences with the school community.
Trips are an integral component of the Ma’ayanot experience. Throughout the year, students participate in both school-wide and grade-specific trips outside school. Trips enable students to explore new places, gain news insights, and have fun with their peers and with members of the administration. Trips include Freshman Day, visits to museums including the Museum of Modern Art and the Cloisters, chesed trips, the Israel Day Parade, Senior Trip, and more.
