Mrs. Joyce Heller joined Ma’ayanot’s Math Department after twenty years of teaching math at Glen Rock High School, including nine years as chairman of the department. An outgoing, multi-talented person, Mrs. Heller won the Governor’s Award for Teacher of the Year in 2003, co-authored the Advanced Placement Statistics Resource Book for D & S Publishing, has directed musical comedy shows in schools and summer camps, and has served as adviser to Student Government, the Math Team and the Playbill Club. Mrs. Heller teaches all levels of math, serves as the Math Chair, and is the director of Ma’ayanot’s musical comedy production each year.

Mrs. Farah Farhadian teaches Calculus at Ma’ayanot. She is a graduate of Hebrew University, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics, and has earned a Master’s Degree in Biostatistics from the University of Teheran, as well as an additional thirty credits of study at City College of New York and St. Peter’s College. She has been teaching for twenty-two years, twenty of which have been at Fair Lawn High School.

Mrs. Marianne Gottlieb teaches Mathematics at Ma’ayanot. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Queens College. She has worked as a computer programmer in private industry, and has taught computer science and mathematics to high school students for several years. Mrs. Gottlieb shares her enthusiasm for mathematics with Ma’ayanot students at all levels.

Mrs. Reyce Krause teaches Mathematics at Ma’ayanot. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ramapo College. Upon graduation, she received the Wiley Prize for Excellence in Mathematics. Mrs. Krause worked as a computer programmer and taught high school math at Bais Yaakov of Ramapo before coming to Ma’ayanot. She loves teaching and feels privileged to be part of the Ma’ayanot faculty.

Ms. Rachelle Krausz joined the Ma’ayanot Math Department in September 2007. She has taught computers, math, and science to high school students for the past several years, and her overall teaching experiences range from elementary school through college level. She has a Master’s Degree in Special Education in 2003, and has experience in that area as well. She is currently continuing her education, pursuing a second Master’s Degree at Touro College in Manhattan.

Mrs. Alyse Meltzer graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Mathematics with a Minor in Statistics. She received her Master’s Degree in Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mrs. Meltzer has taught Algebra 1, Geometry, and A.P. Statistics
