  • Ms. Jennifer Sanders serves as Ma'ayanot's Athletic Director and as a 12th grade mehanekhet. She holds a B.S. in Psychology, with concentrations in sport psychology and social psychology, from the University of Florida. She is also LGI/CPR/FA certified, holds Lifeguard and ACE Personal Trainer certifications, and is Silver Sneakers Instructor. Prior to joining Ma'ayanot's faculty, Ms. Sanders worked as a Physical Education teacher at Yeshivat Noam and Ben Porat Yosef, she was the Director of Fitness, Recreation and Aquatics at the YM & YWHA in Clifton, NJ, and she was the Director of Physical Education and Fitness at the YM & YWHA in Washington Heights, NY.  She also served as Head Women's Varsity Coach for Basketball and Soccer at Gill St. Bernard's School in Gladstone, NJ and as Athletic Director at Camp Cayuga in Honesdale, PA.

  • Ms. Marta Baez is a member of our Physical Education department.  She was born and raised in Argentina, where she earned a B.A. in Physical Education and taught physical education to students in elementary school, middle school, and high school. In the United States, she studied Health Education at Montclair State University and achieved New Jersey State Certification in Health and Physical Education. Prior to joining the Ma'ayanot faculty, Ms. Baez taught physical education for seven years in the public school systems in Jersey City and Hoboken. In addition to teaching at Ma'ayanot, Marta works as a personal trainer and as an instructor of aerobics and zumba, and she belongs to the Teaneck Women’s Soccer League. Marta’s success with our students stems from her enthusiasm for athletics, which is nothing short of contagious.
